Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso de dos pasos para producir petróleo o gas a partir de una formación subterránea en donde en un primer paso la formación subterránea se trata con una composición acuosa que contiene un agente quelante seleccionado del grupo de ácido glutámico ácido N,N-diacético o una de sus sales (GLDA), ácido aspártico ácido N,N-diacético o una de sus sales (ASDA), ácido metilglicina N,N-diacético o una de sus sales (MGDA) y ácido N-hidroxietil etilendiamina N,N',N'-triacético o una de sus sales (HEDTA) y en donde, en un siguiente paso, en las corrientes de salida de la formación subterránea la fase acuosa se separa de la fase no acuosa.
