La presente invención se refiere a un sistema de procesamiento de líquidos, que comprende un número de subsistemas (204, 206, 208, 304, 306, 308) que manejan un producto líquido, el producto líquido se transfiere entre los subsistemas (204, 206, 208, 304, 306, 308) durante el procesamiento del producto líquido. El sistema de procesamiento de líquidos comprende además un número de subsistemas secundarios (234, 236, 238, 334, 336, 338) que se pueden conectar a los subsistemas (204, 206, 208, 304, 306, 308) respectivamente, cada subsistema secundario (234, 236, 238, 334, 336, 338) tiene un dispositivo de medición asociado (216, 222, 224, 316, 322, 324), de tal manera que las pérdidas de producto o el consumo de agua, causados por al menos un subsistema secundario (234, 236, 238, 334, 336, 338) que se conecta a un subsistema correspondiente (216, 222, 224, 316, 322, 324) del sistema de procesamiento de líquidos (200), se pueden medir para cada subsistema secundario (234, 236, 238, 334, 336, 338) individualmente.
