Abstract
Un proceso y aparato para refinar hierro a partir de minerales de hierro con alto contenido de fósforo. El proceso involucra mezclar un mineral de óxido de hierro alto en fósforo y una solución alcalina con pH de entre aproximadamente 12.5 y 13.5, cribar la mezcla por gravedad para separar la solución alcalina alta en fósforo de un mineral de hierro bajo en fósforo; y tratar el mineral de hierro bajo en fósforo con cal y un gas natural.
