Abstract

Se describe un sistema de formación de imágenes (500) que incluye un portal giratorio de forma anular (504) que tiene una abertura (501) configura para soportar por lo menos una fuente de radiación, en donde el portal giratorio gira alrededor de un eje de rotación (508) alrededor de una región de examen, y en donde el eje de rotación se sitúa dentro de la abertura en una región central (508) de la región de examen. El sistema de formación de imágenes incluye además un portal estacionario (502), configurado para soportar de manera que puede girar el portal giratorio. El portal estacionario incluye una base de portal (516), una estructura de inclinación de forma anular (518) que soporta de manera que puede girar el portal giratorio, y un sistema de inclinación (520) fijo a y entre la base de portal y la estructura de inclinación, en donde el sistema de inclinación define un eje de inclinación (532) del portal estacionario, el eje de inclinación se sitúa entre la base del portal y el eje de rotación, y la estructura de inclinación se inclina alrededor del eje de inclinación.
