Abstract
La presente invención se refiere al control genético de parásitos y patógenos vía la expresión de RNA silenciador en plantas transgénicas, incluyendo microalgas. En un aspecto, la invención explota la capacidad de plantas para expresar el RNA silenciador en una forma dentro de los cloroplastos que es captado eficientemente, después de la ingestión, donde puede actuar para suprimir la expresión de genes objetivo dentro del patógeno o parásito.
