Abstract

Se describe un dispositivo de calentamiento por inducción de flujo transversal en el cual se hace que un campo magnético alternante cruce la superficie de la placa de una placa conductiva que se transporta en una dirección, calentando por consiguiente inductivamente dicha placa conductiva. Dicho dispositivo de calentamiento por inducción de flujo transversal se provee con: una bobina de calentamiento dispuesta de modo que la superficie de bobina de la misma mire hacia la superficie de la placa de la placa conductiva; un núcleo alrededor del cual se enrolla la bobina de calentamiento; una placa de protección formada de un conductor y dispuesta entre el núcleo y un extremo de la placa conductiva en una dirección perpendicular a la dirección de transporte; y un material magnético suave no conductivo unido a la placa de protección. La placa de protección está entre el núcleo y el material magnético suave no conductivo.
