Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la obtención de miofibroblastos. De conformidad con este proceso: (a) se prepara una muestra de células que comprende esencialmente fibroblastos; y (b) esta muestra de células se cultiva en un medio de cultivo libre de suero. El propósito principal atendido por la invención es obtener una población de miofibroblastos, las características de la cual facilitan cualquier estudio de estas células, y en particular tan pura como sea posible una población de miofibroblastos. Algunos ejemplos de aplicación de la invención son: identificación de biomarcadores de miofibroblastos, identificación de objetivos terapéuticos, identificación y validación de compuestos anticancerígenos, y un modelo in vitro para selección de compuestos farmacéuticos o cosméticos.
