Abstract

Se describe una aleación o mezcla libre de cromo, de preferencia un alambre compuesto para producir un revestimiento resistente al desgaste y resistente a corrosión en un sustrato, por ejemplo por técnicas de aspersión térmica. El alambre compuesto comprende un revestimiento exterior metálico y un núcleo interior y produce un revestimiento libre de cromo que comprende en volumen en una base en peso, 60 a 90% de un metal base que incluye al menos 2% de aluminio y/o silicio, 2 a 10% de titanio, 2 a 10% de silicio, y 2 a 10% de boro.
