Abstract
Se da a conocer un método para proporcionar un hilo metálico con un sistema de recubrimiento que comprende un imprimador y una capa de acabado, en particular una capa de acabado lubricante, hidrófila. El método comprende aplicar directamente sobre el metal del hilo una composición de recubrimiento de imprimador, que es una composición de recubrimiento acuosa que comprende un polímero de vinilo de múltiples fases, comprendiendo el polímero una primera fase que tiene una Tg en el intervalo de desde -20°C hasta 40°C y una fase dura que tiene una Tg en el intervalo de desde 25°C hasta 120°C. El imprimador tiene buena adhesión tanto a la superficie metálica como a la capa de acabado, y dota al sistema de recubrimiento final de, entre otras cosas, una buena flexibilidad.
