Abstract

La invención se relaciona con una mezcla de materiales de moldeo exotérmica para producir alimentadores para fundir aluminio, que comprende por lo menos: un material de moldeo base resistente al fuego; un aglutinante; una proporción de un metal oxidable de 5 a 18% en peso en relación con la mezcla de materiales de moldeo; un agente oxidante en una proporción de 10 a 50% en peso en relación con la cantidad del agente oxidante requerido para oxidar completamente el metal oxidable; y un agente de ignición para oxidar el metal oxidable en una proporción de 15 a 50 % en peso en relación con la cantidad del metal oxidable. Un alimentador hecho de la mezcla de materiales de moldeo exotérmica se enciende confiablemente, incluso a bajas temperaturas, y se caracteriza por una baja emisión de calor. Por lo tanto, es particularmente adecuado para fundir aluminio.
