Abstract
Un método de tratamiento de una formación que contiene hidrocarburos, que comprende: (a) suministrar una composición para recuperación de hidrocarburos a por lo menos una porción de la formación que contiene hidrocarburos, en donde la composición para recuperación de hidrocarburos comprende una composición propoxilada que comprende (1) un sulfonato de glicerol de un alcohol primario propoxilado que tiene un grupo alifático ramificado con un número de carbono promedio de 10 a 24 y con un número promedio de ramificaciones por grupo alifático de 0.7 a 2.5 y que tiene por lo menos 0.5, preferentemente de 3 a 12, moles de óxido de propileno por mol de alcohol primario y (2) propilénglicol; siempre y cuando el alcohol primario sea propoxilado mediante el contacto del alcohol con óxido de propileno en presencia de una cantidad catalíticamente efectiva de una o más de las sales de fosfato de elementos de la serie del lantano o elementos de tierras raras, preferentemente una sal de carbonato de los mismos, en donde se produce la composición propoxilada que comprende alcohol propoxilado y de 1 a 30% en peso de propilénglicol; y (b) permitir que la composición interactúe con hidrocarburos en la formación de contiene hidrocarburos.
