Abstract
La invención es relativa a un diafragma sintético para celdas de cloro-álcali con características mejoradas de consumo de energía y de separación de gases. El diafragma consiste en un retículo de fibras poliméricas aglutinadas con un material cerámico hidrofílico que contiene circonio químicamente ligado a grupos hidroxilos. El material cerámico es obtenido a partir de ZrO2 por un proceso de hidratación al vacío que puede ser efectuado directamente dentro de la celda por medio de un aparato adecuado.
