Abstract

Los métodos para caracterizar tridimensionalmente un yacimiento o embalse mientras que se perfora un pozo de sondeo horizontal o de ángulo alto a través del yacimiento. Se selecciona un modelo (302) de yacimiento inicial para el yacimiento y se extrae una sección (300) para una trayectoria planeada del pozo de sondeo. Se genera un modelo secundario mediante la realización del modelado secundario para al menos parte de la trayectoria planeada. Se identifica un área de interés (301) dentro del modelo secundario donde la incertidumbre estadística es alta. Las posibles causas de la incertidumbre estadística se identifican para el área de interés dentro del modelo secundario, que no están presentes o consideradas en el modelo de yacimiento inicial. Se definen un grupo de parámetros para el área de interés en que se basan en las causas posibles de incertidumbre estadística. El área de interés se perfila con al menos una diagrafía mientras que se perfora con la herramienta LWD. Las sensibilidades de la respuesta de la herramienta LWD al subgrupo de parámetros se evalúan mediante la realización de al menos un modelo terciario para un rango del subgrupo de parámetros. Se identifican la mayoría de los parámetros sensibles del subgrupo de parámetros y mediciones correspondientes.
