Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un polvo a base de hierro, atomizado con agua, previamente aleado y recocido, adecuado para la producción de componentes comprimidos y sinterizados que tienen alta resistencia al desgaste; el polvo a base de hierro comprende de 10 a menos de 18% en peso de Cr, 0.5-5% en peso de cada uno de uno por lo menos de Mo, W, V y Nb, y 0.5-2%, preferiblemente 0.7-2% y muy preferiblemente 1-2% en peso de C; el polvo tiene una matriz que comprende menos de 10% en peso de Cr, y comprende carburos de grano grande del tipo de M23C6 en combinación con carburos del tipo de M7C3 la invención se refiere también a un método para la producción del polvo a base de hierro, así como a un método para producir un componente comprimido y sinterizado que tiene alta resistencia al desgaste y el componente teniendo alta resistencia al desgaste.
