Abstract

Se describe un sistema de expresión genética para la expresión controlable de respuesta en etileno en una célula de planta que incluye un caset de activación que comprende un dominio de enlace de ADN que reconoce un elemento de respuesta, un dominio de enlace de ligando de receptor de ecdisona y un dominio de activación y un caset objetivo que comprende un promotor inducible que comprende, en asociación operativa, el elemento de respuesta y un promotor mínimo sensible al dominio de activación. El sistema de expresión genética modula la sensibilidad a etileno en células de plantas transgénicas, tejidos, órganos y plantas enteras en presencia de una composición de inducción que controla la sensibilidad a etileno. La sensibilidad a etileno en tales plantas transgénicas y tejidos puede ser controlada por propósitos de manipular la maduración, senescencia de flor y otras funciones sensibles a etileno de la plata.
