Abstract
La invención se relaciona con una lámina balística resistente que comprende una pila de por lo menos 4 monocapas, cada monocapa contiene fibras de refuerzo unidireccionalmente orientadas con una resistencia a la tensión entre 3,5 y 4,5 GPa, y a lo sumo 20% de masa de un material de matriz, una densidad de área de una monocapa de por lo menos 25 g/m2 con una dirección de fibra de cada monocapa siendo rotada con respecto a la dirección de fibra en la monocapa anterior adyacente. La invención se relaciona además con un artículo moldeado balístico resistente, es decir, una parte conformada, que comprende 2 láminas balísticas resistentes de acuerdo con la invención, que se pueden utilizar como, por ejemplo un panel para uso, por ejemplo en un vehículo, especialmente un panel curvado, un inserto duro por ejemplo para uso en pendas protectoras y chalecos resistentes a balas, etc. El artículo moldeado balístico resistente opcionalmente puede tener una cara de golpe de cerámica o de metal. El artículo moldeado balístico resistente de acuerdo con las invenciones ofrece protección contra impactos balísticos tales como balas y fragmentos balísticos.
