Abstract

Se presenta un método para la regulación de la emisión de CO en la fabricación de acero, en la cual se le agrega oxígeno a una colada para la extracción del carbono presente, se determina el valor real de la corriente de carbono que se desprende del colada, se calcula el valor nominal de la corriente de carbono que se desprende, a partir de la cantidad de oxígeno agregada y de la cantidad de carbono en la colada, bajo consideración de otras eventuales reacciones y se comparan entre sí el valor nominal y el valor real, y en el caso de que el valor real se halle por debajo del valor nominal se agrega carbono como una medida que impide los efectos de ebullición de la colada.
