Abstract
La invención se refiere a un proceso para preparar resinas de poliamina-epihalohidrina que tienen niveles reducidos de componentes residuales. El proceso comprende (a) cargar un aparato de separación por membranas con una composición acuosa que comprende al menos una resina de poliamina-epihalohidrina, y (b) separar la composición acuosa en un permeado y un retenido haciendo pasar la composición acuosa a través de las membranas del aparato de separación por membranas. El compuesto retenido comprende al menos una resina de poliamina-epihalohidrina que tiene niveles inferiores de residuos en una base igual de componente activo que la composición acuosa de (a). El compuesto que ha permeado comprende residuos eliminados de la composición acuosa de (a) y menos de 5% por peso del componente activo de dicha al menos una resina de poliamina-epihalohidrina. Las resinas de poliamina-epihalohidrina que tienen niveles reducidos de componentes residuales se pueden usar para preparar agentes de reforzamiento en húmedo, agentes de reforzamiento en seco, adhesivos de deslizamiento o reptantes para productos de papel, agentes de curación para adhesivos de productos de madera y otros productos.
