Abstract

Un aparato para generar energia electrica a partir de un flujo de agua, incluyendo un alojamiento que tiene una entrada de agua y una salida de agua, una primera turbina montada en el alojamiento para rotacion alrededor de un eje sustancialmente vertical y que tiene un eje de turbina, un conjunto de aspas verticales, y un mecanismo de control de angulo de aspa, una segunda turbina montada en el alojamiento junto a la primera turbina para rotacion alrededor de un eje sustancialmente vertical, la segunda turbina tiene un eje de turbina, un conjunto de aspas verticales, y un mecanismo de control de angulo de aspa, el alojamiento esta adaptado para quedar montado dentro del cuerpo de agua y para quedar configurado de tal forma que un flujo de agua entrante ingresa al alojamiento a traves de la entrada, y es dirigido principalmente hacia dos flujos de impulso, un o para cada turbina, y despues es dirigido para descarga a traves de la salida, el angulo de cada aspa con respecto al flujo de agua de impulso es controlado por el mecanismo de control de angulo de aspa, de manera que un area de superficie de aspa grande es presentada al flujo de agua de entrada para impulsar la turbina en una direccion predeterminada de rotacion y un area de superficie de aspa baja es presentada para el flujo de agua de entrada en una direccion opuesta a la direccion de impulso.
