Abstract
Un metodo y un aparato para el despliegue y la recuperacion de receptores sismicos del fondo oceanico. En una realizacion, el aparato comprende un portador que contiene una pluralidad de receptores montados a un vehiculo de operacion remota (ROV). El portador comprende un bastidor en el cual se monta una estructura para apoyar y desprender los receptores. La estructura puede comprender un tambor movil o una cinta transportadora movil o rieles paralelos fijos o un tambor. En el caso del tambor, los receptores se apilan axialmente sobre el. La estructura esta dispuesta para suministrar dichos receptores a una puerta de descarga sobre el bastidor, donde los receptores pueden retirarse del portador. El aparato incluye un mecanismo de descarga para retirar los receptores del portador. En otra realizacion, el metodo comprende los pasos de cargar un portador con una pluralidad de receptores, montar el portador a un ROV, utilizar el ROV para transportar el portador desde un buque de superficie a una posicion adyacente al lecho del mar y luego utilizar el ROV para recibir receptores desde el portador y colocar los receptores sobre el lecho del mar. En aun otra realizacion, un ROV adyacente al lecho del mar se une a una linea de despliegue que se extiende desde el buque. La linea de despliegue se usa para guiar receptores montados a ella hacia el ROV para el suministro "a tiempo" y la colocacion en el lecho del mar.
