Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere a un gen de factor de transcripcion GATA regulado por nitrogeno para la deteccion de azucar, y a la modulacion de la expresion de este gen para modular una caracteristica en una planta. El factor de transcripcion GATA de la presente invencion esta involucrado en la regulacion de la deteccion de azucar en las plantas, y su expresion es influenciada por el estado del nitrogeno. La mayor expresion de este o de genes sustancialmente similares puede producir plantas con una mejor utilizacion del nitrogeno y mayor rendimiento.
