Abstract
Se fabrico un producto compuesto de matriz metalica al adicionar particulas de hexaboruro de calcio a un metal de aluminio, magnesio o titanio o sus aleaciones. El producto compuesto resultante de matriz metalica es de peso ligero y tiene resistencia mejorada, modulo elastico incrementado y coeficiente reducido de expansion termica, haciendo de esta manera al producto compuesto de matriz metalica mas util en la industria. Un producto compuesto de matriz metalica se forma tambien al mezclar particulas de aluminio, magnesio y titanio o combinaciones de los mismos con particulas de hexaboruro de silicio, hexaboruro de calcio, tetraboruro de silicio, tetraboruro de calcio o combinaciones de los mismos. Las particulas mezcladas se procesa de acuerdo a tecnicas metalurgicas en polvo para producir un material compuesto de matriz metalica.
