Abstract
Un generador de campo electromagnetico (EM) (5) para la inspeccion electromagnetica del lecho marino, que comprende un convertidor de CA a CC (18) que funciona para generar una salida de CC desde una entrada de CA y un modulo de conmutacion (19) que funciona para generar una senal de accionamiento de forma de onda conmutando selectivamente la salida de CC; el generador de campo EM tambien comprende una antena (20) que funciona para generar un campo EM como respuesta a la senal de accionamiento de forma de onda; este enfoque de diseno para utilizar la fuente de CC conmutada permite la generacion de senales EM de onda cuadrada o rectangular, que tengan caracteristicas de transicion aguda y que sean sustancialmente independientes de las caracteristicas de entrada de CA.
