Abstract
"MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA PESQUISA GEOLóGICA DO SOLO OCEâNICO USANDO A MEDIDA DO CAMPO ELéTRICO VERTICAL". Descreve-se um sistema para mapear a condutividade do solo oceânico, compreendendo uma pluralidade de unidades de cadastro de dados, onde cada unidade (100) é um conjunto adaptado para distribuição em um local no solo oceânico para a medida dos campos elétricos e magnéticos horizontais. Rigidamente acoplada e se estendendo verticalmente do conjunto da unidade há um braço substancialmente rígido (158) verticalmente orientado tendo um par de eletrodos (160, 162) verticalmente ordenados dispostos no braço para criar uma antena dipolo verticalmente orientada. Os eletrodos estão em comunicação elétrica com um amplificador localizado dentro do conjunto o qual gera um sinal amplificado que é então enviado a um processador de dados de cadastro também localizado dentro do conjunto. O processador coleta periodicamente uma série de sinais de campos magnéticos e de campos elétricos amplificados durante um pré-determinado espaço de tempo.
