Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para producir un cuerpo compuesto de matriz de cerámica autosoportante caracterizado porque comprende: proveer un baño fundido de metal madre; poner en contacto por lo menos un material seleccionado del grupo de los materiales que consiste de una masa de material llenador y por lo menos una preforma con por lo menos una porción de la superficie de un baño fundido de un metal madre; hacer reaccionar el metal madre fundido de dicho baño fundido de metal madre con un oxidante para formar un producto de reacción de oxidación que se desarrolla en y empotra por lo menos una porción de dicho por lo menos un material; mantener dicho metal madre a una temperatura superior a la temperatura de fusión de dicho metal madre, pero inferior a la temperatura de fusión de dicho producto de reacción de oxidación para formar el producto de reacción de oxidación, el producto está en contacto con, y se extiende entre, el baño fundido de metal madre y el oxidante; continuar dicha reacción a dicha temperatura de tal forma que el metal madre del baño fundido de metal madre se impulsa progresivamente a través del producto de reacción de oxidación previamente formado hacia dicho oxidante y en por lo menos un material de tal forma que el producto de reacción de oxidación reciente continúe formándose en la entrecara entre el oxidante y el producto de reacción de oxidación previamente formada, formando así un cuerpo progresivamente más espeso del producto de reacción de oxidación y por lo tanto empotrando por lo menos una porción de dicho por lo menos un material; y remover dicho por lo menos un material de la superficie del baño fundido de metal madre cuando dicho por lo menos un material se ha empotrado por lo menos parcialmente por dicho producto de reacción de oxidación, formando así por lo menos un cuerpo compuesto de matriz de cerámica autosoportante.
