Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para recuperar hidrocarburos halogenados de una corriente de gas húmeda, caracterizado porque comprende hacer pasar la corriente gaseosa a traves de un lecho de un adsorbente de tamiz molecular hidrófobo que tiene diámetros de poro suficientemente grandes para permitir que pasen a traves de ellas moleculas de los hidrocarburos halogenados, y sean adsorbidas selectivamente en las cavidades internas grandes de la red cristalina, con la que los hidrocarburos halogenados son separados selectivamente del exhalante de un paciente con adsorción mínima de vapor de agua; continuar el paso de la corriente gaseosa húmeda a traves del lecho de material adsorbente hasta por lo menos justo antes de que irrumpa un frente de hidrocarburo halogenado esencialmente saturado; separar el material adsorbente que contiene la fase adsorbida de la corriente gaseosa; regenerar el material adsorbente exponiendo el material saturado a una corriente de gas de purga inerte bajo condiciones de desadsorban los hidrocarburos halogenados del material adsorbente hacia la corriente de gas de purga; separar los hidrocarburos halogenados de la corriente de gas de purga, y purificar el líquido aislado de los hidrocarburos halogenados, a una pureza adecuada para volverlos a usar.
