Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un aparato para detectar grietas verticales en el terminado de un recipiente translúcido, que tiene un eje central y una abertura de boca, el cual aparato está caracterizado porque comprende: medios para hacer girar al recipiente alrededor de su eje central, una fuente para dirigir energía luminosa sobre el terminado del recipiente, desde el exterior del recipiente, lateralmente al eje del recipiente, sobre una porción ángular menor que la circunferencia completa del terminado del recipiente, una cámara de red de área, que se coloca externamente al recipiente, en un ángulo con respecto al eje del recipiente, para recibir una imagen de la porción iluminada del terminado del recipiente, la cámara se orienta, con respecto a la fuente de luz, de tal manera que una grieta vertical, en el terminado del recipiente, refleja energía luminosa, desde la fuente hasta la cámara, para crear una imagen brillante de la grieta, contra un fondo normalmente oscuro, y medios sensibles a la cámara, para detectar grietas verticales, en el terminado del recipiente, como una función de la energía luminosa reflejada.
