Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a procedimiento para la producción de metanol de gas de síntesis de fase líquida que comprende hacer reaccionar CO con H2, con relación molar CO/H2 comprendido entre 0.5 y 5, en presencia de un sistema catalítico constituido por uno o más compuestos de cobre y uno o más alcoholatos alcalinos y/o alcalino terreo de fórmula (RO)xM, donde M es el metal alcalino o alcalino-terreo, R es un grupo alquilo con un número de átomos de carbono de 1 a 10, preferiblemente de 1 a 5, x es igual a la valencia del metal alaclino o alcalino-terreo, y en presencia de uno o más solventes caracterizado porque el hecho de agregar en la reacción metanol y/o uno o más formiatos alquílicos de fórmula HCOORf, donde Rf es un grupo alquílico que tiene un número de átomos de carbono de 1 a 20 en cantidad tal que se obtengan relaciones morales de metanol/cobre comprendidas entre 1 y 500 y alcoholados/metanol comprendidos entre 0.05 y 500, yHCOORf/cobre comprendidas entre 1 y 1000 de alcoholato/HCOORf comprendidas entre 0.05 y 500, operando con una consentración de sistemas catalítico en la solución constituida por los solventes y el sistema catalítico mismo, comprendida entre 0.001 y 1 molar para el compuesto o los compuestos de cobre y entre 0.01 y 5 molar para el alcoholato o los alcoholatos alcalinos y/o alcalinos-terroeo y a una temperatura superior a 40ºC e inferior a 200ºC.
