Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un metodo para producir un implanto de liberación controlada, para administrar la hormona de crecimiento a un animal, caracterizado poque comprende los pasos de: (a) recuperar la hormona de crecimiento del animal, apartir de microorgamismos transformantes enun medio de fermentación, conteniendo los microorganismos transformantes un geneexpresadle que codifica la hormona de crecimiento del animal; (b) dializar la hormona de crecimiento del animal contra un regulador de diàlisis a un pH básico o fisiológico, en la escala de 9.6 a 10 a una temperatura de aproximadamente 5 a 15 grados C hasta que la cantidad de sal presente en la hormona del crecimiento recuperado del medio de fermentación sea mejor que 5 pr ciento, produciendo de esa manera una hormona de crecimiento con bajo contenido de sal; (c) liofilizar la hormona de crecimiento de bajo contenido de sal a una temperatura de aproximadamente 40 grados C durante el congelamiento, y a una temperatura de aproximadamente 25 grados C durante la sublimación; (d) mezclar la hormona de crecimiento de bajo contenido de sal, liofilizada, con un polímero compatible para producir una composición comprimible; e) comprimir la composición a una forma de dosis unitaria, capaz de ser implantada subcutáneamente.
