Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a mejoras en pila de concentración para medir el contenido de silicio en metal líquido, en donde la pila consiste de un tubo de material refractario capaz de soportar altas temperaturas y el ataque de la escoria que actúa como electrodo, ii) una capa conductora metálica superpuesta que proporciona la referencia de actividad de silicio y iii) un electrodo infusible sumergido en la capa de scoria y en la capa conductora metálica caracterizadas en que a) la capa de escoria anteriormente mencionada está separada del baño de metal líquido por medio de una pared porosa inerte incapaz de fundirse por el metal líquido o escoria, b) la capa de escoria mencionada permanece en contacto con el metal líquido a traves de canales pequeños que forman la porosidad de la pared.
