Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la reducción del contenido de fluoruro de hidrógeno de los fluorocarburos al hacer reaccionar el fluoruro de hidrógeno en exceso con un halocarburo, caracterizado porque comprende: a) alimentar una mezcla de producto de halocarburo que contiene un azeótropo de fluoruro de hidrógeno con al menos un compuesto de la fórmula CaHbC1cFd, donde a es de a 6, b es de 1 a 13, c e sde 1 a 3 y d es de 1 a 13, siempre que b + c + d es igual a 2a + 2 cuando el compuesto es acíclico y 2a cuando es cíclico, en un reactor; b) poner en contacto el zeótropo de (a) con: i) una cantidad de un compuesto de la fórmula CaHbC1cFd donde a es de 1 a 6, b es de 0 a 13, c es de 1 a 13, y de es de 0 a 13, siempre que b + c + d es igual a 2a + 2 cuando el compuesto es acíclico y 2a cuando es cíclico; o ii) una cantidad de una halo-olefina de la fórmula CaHbC1cFd donde a es de 2 a 6, b es de 0 a 11, c es de 1 a 11 y d es de 0 a 11, siempre que b + c + d es igual a 2a cuando el compuesto es acíclico y 12a - 2 cuando es cíclico; la cantidad está en exceso de la cantidad de fluoruro de hidrógeno en el azeótropo con un catalizador de fluoración bajo condiciones de fluoración.
