Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para producir petróleo crudo sintetico de propiedades mejoradas desulfurizando, desnitrogenano y desmetalizando un material de alimentación de petróleo crudo pesado, el material de alimentación es un petróleo crudo que tiene un punto de ebullición promedio de cuando menos tan alto como de 260 grados C, una gravedad oAPI a 15.6o C. menor de 20, y que contiene cuando menos 1 por ciento por peso de azufre, el procedimiento está caracterizado porque comprende: separar el material de alimentación de petróleo crudo pesado en cuando menos tres fracciones que incluyen una fracción de residuo atmosferico que tiene un punto de ebullición inicial cuando menos tan alto como de 343.3 grados C, una fracción restante con un menor punto de ebullición; poner en contacto la fracción de destilado con un catalizador de desulfurización, y con gas hidrógeno, en una primera zona de hidrodesulfurización bajo condiciones de temperatura, presión parcial de hidrógeno, regimen de flujo de hidrógeno, actividad catalítica y velocidad espacial tales como para remover una porción sustancial del azufre y nitrógeno de la fracción de destilado; concurrentemente con dicho contacto de la fracción de destilado, poner en contacto cuando menos una porción sustancial de la fracción de residuo con gas hidrógeno en la presencia de un catalizador de hidrodesmetalización que tiembien tiene actividad hidrodesulfurizante, en una zona de hidrodesmetalización bajo condiciones de temperatura, presión parcial de hidrógeno, regimen de flujo de hidrógeno y velocidad espacial, tales que una porción principal del contenido de metal de níquel y vanadio del residuo se separa de la misma y una porción sustancial del contenido de azufre del residuo se remueve concurrentemente del mismos; y recombinar el resto, cuando menos una fracción de menor punto de ebullición, el destilado hidrotratado y la fracción de residuo hidrotratada para producir un crudo de petróleo sintetico mejorado.
