Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un metodo para impartir una fuerza mejorada y resistencia a la decoloración a fibras estabilizadas irradiadas con rayos gamma, el cual comprende incorporar en las fibras de homopolímero de polipropileno, o copolímeros de propileno con una cantidad menor de etileno, estas fibras están esencialmente exentas de un antioxidante, una cantidad eficaz, suficiente para atenuar la degradación por rayos gamma de las fibras, de una acetamida N-(substituída)-1-(piperazin-2-ona alquil)-alfa-(3,5-dialquil-4-hidroxifenil)-alfa,alfa-substituída ("3,5-DHPZNA"), que tiene un átomo de carbono alfa disubstituído, esta 3,5-DHPZNA tiene la estrutura.
