Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un aparato para separar fluido de una lámina continua fibrosa, caracterizado porque comprende: un miembro de prensa; medios de bayeta que cooperan con el miembro de prensa para definir entre ellos una sección prensadora alargada, de manera que la lámina continua sea prensada entre el miembro de prensa y el medio de bayeta durante su paso através de la sección prensadora; medios alargados para llevar forzadamente a los medios de bayeta hacia el miembro de prensa, de manera que cuando la lámina continua pasa a través de la sección prensadora, se separa el fluido de la lámina continua; medios calefactores dispuestos adyacentes al miembro de prensa para transferir calor a la lámina continua, de manera que cuando ésta pasa a través de la sección prensadora, es sometida durante un período prolongado de presión y temperatura incrementadas, de modo que el vapor de agua generado dentro de la sección prensadora durante el paso a través de ella, fuerza al líquido de la fase líquida fuera de la lámina continua; y el miembro de prensa define una superficie prensadora que es porosa para inhibir la deslaminación de la lámina continua.
