Abstract

The apparatus for removing liquid from a suspension is provided with two endless belts (1, 2) between which the suspension is introduced at position I and is taken off at position II in the drier state. In order to exert a higher pressure on the suspension situated between the belts (1, 2), a plurality of parallel, belt-like pressing elements (6) are provided which are downstream of a pressing roll (3) and are pressed against one of the belts (1 or 2); at least this latter of the two belts (1, 2) is liquid permeable. <IMAGE>
