Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para la conversión del metano, caracterizado porque consiste en: poner en contacto un gas que contiene metano y un gas contiene oxígeno con un material de contacto seleccionado del grupo que consta de: a) un componente que comprende: 1)cuando menos un óxido de un matal seleccionado del grupo que consta de calcio, estroncio y bario y, opcionalmente, un componente que comprende: 2) cuando menos un material seleccionado del grupo que consta de iones de cloruro, compuestos que contienen iones de cloruro, estaño y compuestos que contienen estaño; b) un componente que comprende: 1) cuando menos un metal seleccionado del grupo que consta de sodio, potasio y compuestos que contienen a estos metales, un componente que comprende: 2) cuando menos un material seleccionado de metales del grupo IIA y compuestos que contienen a dichos metales y, opcionalmente, un componente que comprende: 3) cuando menos un material seleccionado del grupo que consta de iones del cloruro, compuestos que contienen iones de cloruro, estaño y compuestos que contienen estaño y c) un componente que comprende: 1) cuando menos un material seleccionado de metales del grupo IA y compuestos que contienen a estos metales, un componente que comprende: 2) cuando menos un metal seleccionado del grupo que consta de calcio estroncio, bario y compuestos que contienen a dichos metales y, opcionalmente un componente que comprende: 3) cuando menos un material seleccionado del grupo que consta de iones de cloruro, compuestos que contienen iones de cloruro, estaño y compuestos que contienen estaño, en condiciones suficientes para roducir una cantidad considerable de hidrocarburos superiores.
