Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimient mejorado para producir beta-dioxido de manganeso, caracterizado porque comprende alimentar a una cámara gamma-dióxido de manganeso consituído por partículas, cambiar contínuamente las posiciones relativas de las partículas de Mn0(2) en dicha cámara mientras que se caliente el gamma-dióxido de manganeso al menos a 450 grados C, mantener la temperatura del dióxido de manganeso al menos a 450 grados C durante un tiempo para convertir una mayor parte del dióxido de manganeso en una fase cristalina beta, sin formar cantidades perjudiciales de óxidos inferiores, y retirar el dióxido de manganeso tratado térmicamente de la cámara.
