Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una articulación mejorada destinada a un enganche ferroviario, provisto de un agujero destinado a la clavija del pivote y delimitado por un lado por una porción de garganta hueca e integral, y en que el agujero destinado a la clavija del pivote está aislado del interior de la cavidad hueca de la porción de gargante y tiene una superficie de soporte anular intermedia para la clavija del pivote, la mejora, en la articulación, consiste en que el núcleo reniforme que forma la cavidad hueca de la porción de garganta tiene una proyección lateral que se extiende a través de la pared lateral de la cavidad hueca de la porción de garganta, por lo cual queda una abertura en dicha pared lateral cuando el núcleo reniforme se extrae después de la fundición para crear un punto de debilidad que asegurará que la articulación o garra habrá de fracturarse en la porción de garganta cuando la articulación se halla bajo un gran esfuerzo.
