Abstract
The quince sort (Cydonia oblonga Mill) Autiu is obtained by hybridization of Campion X Bureţkii sorts, it is Republic of Moldova for the Central, South-West and south fruit - production zones.The tree is medium-sized with a broadpyramidal, compact crown. The skeleton branches go from the trunk at an acute angle. It is flowering in the first ten-day period of May. The sort ia autofertile, the best pollinators are Turunciukskaia and Urojainaia sorts.It bears fruits basically on an annual seedling. The fruits have the form of apples, uniform having a mass of 320-350 g. The skin is of a mean density, small-downy, having a golden - yellow color. The pulp is cream - coloured, of an average density, tender and succulent. The fruits comprise 10,52% of dry substances, 6,51% of sugars, 0,42% of titrated acids, 54,04 mg% of tannage and colorants, 21,19 mg% of vitamin C. The degustation value is of 4,4 - 4,5 numbers. The trees come into bearing during the 3 year and bears fruits annually. The crop capacity constitutes 45-50 kg from a tree or 30,0-35,0 t/ha.
