Abstract

The invention relates to the field of information technologies and can be used to form identification tags by the electrochemical working of metals and the creation of databases of solid material resources, in particular artillery barrels of medium and large caliber.The method for identifying a hollow cylindrical electrically conducting object includes the execution of helical grooves in the cavity of an electrically conducting object, application in the cavity of the object of an identification tag, composed of a coordinate grid, an identification number and an individual pattern, which is designed as a bar code applied into a single helical groove and reference points applied on the face of the object by the electrochemical method, in which the tool electrode and the object are connected to a power supply, at the same time in the gap between them is served the electrolyte. The coordinate grid is formed on the base of the helical groove with its information bound to the reference points, applied on the object. The obtained tag is recorded in the computer memory. The identification of the object is realized by comparing the tag on the identification object with the earlier recorded one.The tool electrode for applying an individual pattern by the electrochemical method includes a dielectric cylindrical holder (1), made with helical grooves and an electrolyte feeding hole (7) and of two parts, between which is fixed a working element (2), made with helical grooves, which are the continuation of the helical grooves of both parts of the dielectric holder (1). The helical protrusions (5) of the working element (2) are equipped with a set (4) of replaceable alternating across the width elements, made of alternating conductive and dielectric materials, at the same time the conductive elements are connected to the negative pole of the power supply.
