The invention relates to information technologies for identification of material resources, namely to a process for applying an irreproducible tag on solid objects.The process, according to the invention, provides for the application on the object of a coordinate grid, an individual matrix and an identification number, at the same time the matrix represents cavitation cavities and is made by ultrasound radiation of the aqueous solution introduced into the space between the object and the magnetostrictor placed on the coordinate grid with the possibility of displacement through a random number generator.The ultrasound oscillation range is regulated in the frequency interval 2·104…4·105 Hz, and the aqueous solution is subjected to radiation with an intensity higher than 3·103 W/m2.
