Abstract

The invention refers to biotechnology, in particular to processes for obtaining of vitamin B12 that may be used in zootechny and medicine. The process for vitamin B12 obtaining includes cultivation of propionic bacteria in facultative aerobic conditions during 7 days on a nutrient medium with pH 6,8...7,0, containing corn extract, glucose, (NH4)2SO4, CoCl2?6H2O, a natural mineral with increased content of carbonates and 5,6-dimethyl benzimidazole, the latter being introduced on the 5-th day of cultivation. After 7 days of cultivation the obtained biomass is separated from the medium and it is extracted the vitamin B12 therefrom. The result of the invention consists in providing for the stabilization of medium pH and in avoiding the bacterial culture infection.Claims: 1
