Abstract
This invention relates to the field of electrochemistry.The device for the electrolytic production of a gaseous mixture of hydrogen and oxygen comprises an electrolyzer (11), made in the form of a housing, and electrodes, made in the form of a set of stainless steel plates with vertical and horizontal saw cuts in the surfaces thereof and with openings for the circulation of electrolyte (12) and the removal of gases, provided in each electrode so as to be non-coaxial with the openings in the adjacent electrodes. The electrodes are spaced apart in the housing and are electrically connected to a power supply. The device also comprises a receptacle (14) for electrolyte (12), made closed and sealed, with an inlet (2) for its filling with electrolyte (12) so that an empty space is formed above the surface of the electrolyte (12). The receptacle (14) is connected to the electrolyzer (11) by means of channels (4) for electrolyte (12) feeding in the electrolyzer (11) and a channel for removing a mixture of gas and water from the electrolyzer (11). The device further comprises a channel (6) for collecting a gaseous mixture of hydrogen and oxygen, connected to an empty space, formed above the level of electrolyte (12) in the receptacle (14), and wherein is mounted a water lock (8). The housing of the electrolyzer (11) contains at least a source of ultrasonic radiation and a source of ultraviolet radiation.
