The present invention relates to motor vehicles provided with anti-theft means and in particular motor vehicles comprising a bodywork provided with glazed openings and wheel arches.

5 In motor vehicles, and in particular in cars, the problem currently arises of having anti-theft means intended to prevent the theft of the vehicle or of certain parts of it, such as for example the wheels or the accessories mounted on the interior. 10 This problem is exacerbated by the increasing number of thefts of objects inside the passenger compartment, such as for example travel bags, handbags, cameras and the like left on the seats.

In many cases, these thefts are perpetrated during the 15 momentary stops of the vehicle and in the presence of the passengers on board.

However, the anti-theft means mounted on vehicles of the traditional type are essentially intended to prevent theft of the vehicle and are generally not able to provide sufficient protection against theft of elements or organs of this same vehicle, or objects transported thereon, in particular inside the passenger compartment.

The object of the present invention is therefore that of producing a motor vehicle of the aforementioned type de-25 provided with these same drawbacks.

This object is achieved, according to the invention, by a vehicle of the aforementioned type, characterized in that it is provided with protective curtains on each of its glazed openings and on each wheel arch, each of these pro curtains 30 tection being sliding between an inactive position, in which the curtain is made invisible, and an active position in which it covers the respective glazed opening or the respective wheel arch.

Thanks to this characteristic, when the protective curtains "are in their active position, the breaking of the closing windows of the glazed openings of the bodywork does not allow access to the interior of the passenger compartment of the automobile according to Similarly, the protective curtains associated with the wheel arches prevent access to the V Μ 2 roues wheels of the vehicle.

The invention will now be described solely by way of nonlimiting example / with reference to the appended drawing / in which: 5 - Figure 1 is a perspective view of a motor vehicle according to the invention; - Figure 2 is a sectional view along line II-II of Figure 1; - Figure 3 is a sectional view along line 10 III-III of Figure 1.

In FIG. 1, the reference 1 designates as a whole a motor car comprising a bodywork provided with side windows 2 closed by windows 2a, a front bay 3 closed by a windshield 3a and a rear bay 4 15 closed by a bezel 4a.

In addition to the glass openings 2, 3 and 4, the vehicle body 1 also has passages 5 through which wheels 6 are fixed to respective rotating supports 7 by means of fixing screws 8.

20 With these same glass openings 2, 3 and 4 are associated respective protective curtains 12, 13 and 14, each sliding in contiguity with the surface of the respective closing glass 2a, 3a, 4a, facing outwards from the car.

Each protective curtain 12, 13 and 14 is sliding between an inactive position, in which the curtain is retracted to view, and an active position, in which it covers the respective glazed opening.

In FIG. 1, the curtain 12 associated with the front left side window is shown in its active position, while the curtain associated with the corresponding rear window is shown in its inactive position.

As can be better seen in Figure 2, the curtains 12 associated with the side windows 2 slide vertically on side rails 12a, located on the sides of the vehicle, which allow the curtains 12 to enter the body below from the waist line.

Similarly, a similar arrangement allows the vertical sliding of the protective curtain 14 in correspondence with the rear window 4.

* 3 * On the other hand, the protective curtain 13 associated with the windshield 3a consists of two curtain halves sliding horizontally towards one another.

In Figure 1, one of these curtain halves is shown in its active position, while the other half is shown in an intermediate position between the active position and the inactive position, in which it is retracted to view at one of the side uprights of the front window.

10 As with the glass openings, the wheel arches 5 are associated with protective curtains 15, each of which is sliding between an inactive position, in which the curtain is retracted to view, and an active position, in which it covers the respective wheel arch 5.

In FIG. 1, the protective curtains 15 associated with the front left and rear left wheel arches of the vehicle 1 are respectively represented in the active position and in the inactive position.

20 As can best be seen in FIG. 3, the protective curtains 15 are shaped in such a way that when they are in their active position they prevent access to the screws 8 for fixing the wheels on their respective rotating supports 7 .

Furthermore, the shape of the curtains 15 is such that when they are in their active position they also prevent the steering of the steered wheels of the vehicle.

In the light of the foregoing description and of the appended drawings, it becomes clear that the protective curtains * '30 12, 13, 14 and 15 constitute an anti-theft system which is able to prevent both theft of the vehicle, as that of elements or accessories of this same vehicle and of objects transported inside the passenger compartment.

In fact, when they are in their active position, the curtains 12, 13 and 14 associated with the glass openings 2, 3 and 4 extend so as to protect the windows 2a, 3a, 4a and make it impossible access to the interior of the passenger compartment even in the event of one of these same windows breaking.

The protective curtains 12, 13 and 14 may, on the other hand, be made to allow visibility of the interior of the passenger compartment even when they are in their position. active.

This embodiment proves to be particularly advantageous for preventing theft attempts made by breaking a window of a vehicle momentarily stopped in the middle of traffic with passengers on board.

Furthermore, the protective curtains 15 associated with the wheel arches, which in their active position make the fixing screws 8 of the wheels 5 inacessible, prevent the theft of these same wheels when the vehicle is stopped.

The protective curtains 15 which are associated with the passages of the steered wheels prevent on the other hand, when they are in their active position, the steering of the wheels and thereby theft of the vehicle.

It goes without saying that, the principle of the present invention remaining acquired, the details of execution and the embodiments thereof may vary to a large extent from what has been described and illustrated, without thereby -20 shooting from the framework of this industrial protection.

Claims (6)

1. Wheeled motor vehicle, comprising a bodywork with glazed openings and wheel arches, characterized in that it is provided with protective curtains 5 (12, 13, 14, 15) on each of its glazed openings (2, 3, 4. and on each wheel arch (5), each of said protective curtains (12, 13, 14, 15) being sliding between an inactive position, in which the curtain is retracted at sight, and a active position, in which it covers the respective glazed opening (2, 3, 4) or the respective wheel arch (5). 2. Motor vehicle according to claim 1, characterized in that each protective curtain (12, 13, 14) associated with a glazed opening (2, 3, 4) is sliding adjacent to the surface of the closing window respective (2a, 3a, 4a) facing the outside of the vehicle. 3. Motor vehicle according to claim 1, characterized in that the protective curtains (15) associated with the wheel arches (5) of the steered wheels are shaped so as to prevent, when they are in their active position, the turning of these same wheels. 4. Motor vehicle according to claim 1, characterized in that the protective curtains (15) associated with the wheel arches (5) are shaped so as to prevent, when they are in their active position, access to the fixing means (8) of the wheels (6) on the respective rotating supports (7). 5. Motor vehicle according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that the protective curtains (12, 14) associated with the side windows (2) and possibly with the rear lime (4) 'are sliding vertically and, when in their inactive position, re-enter the body below the belt line. 6. Motor vehicle according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that the protective curtain (13) associated with the windshield (3a) consists of two curtain halves which slide horizontally one towards the other and which, when they are in their inactive position, fit into the uprights of the front window (3).
