Abstract

A pair of reflective, spring-urged, roller blinds are mounted on a car windscreen so that it may be shaded from the sun.

Description

SPECIFICATION Windscreen blind The object of the device is to prevent the interior of the vehicle from becoming too warm in hot weather conditions.
The device is in the form of two sprung return reels, which hold the reflective film and are similar in construction to roller blinds.
These are attached to the inside of the windscreen in a horizontal position using rubber suckers (24) (32).
When required, they are put in a vertical position and clipped into the top sucker (20) (29), these having simple push fit retainer, retaining parts (21) (30).
The film (26) (28) can then be drawn out from each roll and joined together with the Velcro tabs in the centre (22) (27).
The second method is to use the reel on the outside of the vehicle in a scissor fashion, allowing the film to emanate from there and locating on the edge of the windscreen.
The reels are held in position pivoted in the centre and connected to the windscreen on a sucker attached to a flexible bar. All the suckers would be of the cam type i.e. using the cam to secure proper suction.
Alternative design to effect this method may be to use these rollers in a parallel fashion as shown by diagram (4) with the ends of the blinds angled at 'X' to incorporate abgle of windscreen egdes.
CLAIM
This is a roller-blind made from specific materials of heat-ressistence specially for the front windscreens of motor vehicles. It has features of refecting sun-light thus keeping the motor vehicle's dashboard and interior cool.
As shown on diagrams one to five, the roller-blind can either be fitted from the inside or outside of the motor vehicle by special holdings which come with the blind.
Besides keeping the interior of the motor vehicle cool, it has an added feature of preventing the motor vehicle's wiper blades from deteriation as often happens when vehiles are exposed to intense sun-light.
CLAIMS Amendments to the claims have been filed, and have the following effect: Claim above has been deleted.
New or textually amended claims have been filed as follows:- 1. A device to two sprung return reels which hold a reflective film and is similar in construction to a roller blind.
2. The specific purpose that it is made for.
3. The job that it does.
4. The protection of wipers and windscreen rubber, +keeping the interior of the car cool.
5. The three ways of manufacturing as shown on Diagrams 2, 3, 4.
6. The various ways that it can be fitted on a car.
