The present invention relates to an insulating and decorative laminated covering element for surfaces of "buildings.

The laminated covering element according to the invention is intended to be applied internally or externally to the surfaces of walls or ceilings and can replace the finishing layers, such as the plastering layers normally applied to these surfaces, "although this element can also be applied to such topcoats.

The laminate covering element according to the invention is arranged so as to have properties, insulating both acoustically and thermally and can also replace the decorative wallpaper sheets applied usually on the walls and ceilings of building premises.

The coating element statified according to the invention can be used to coat the surfaces of walls and ceilings of buildings for any purpose, such as residential houses, apartment buildings, office buildings, etc.

The covering element according to the invention is essentially characterized by the fact that it comprises a decorative facing sheet with a fibrous texture having a sound absorption coefficient greater than around 18 decibels, at least one aluminum sheet serving to reflect heat and at least one layer of an adhesive material applied to the face of the aluminum foil opposite to that directed towards said sheet {! facing, the aforementioned sheets being glued one; to the other.

The laminated covering element according to the invention is in the form of a sheet which can be cut according to the dimensions of the surface to be coated.

As shown in the drawing, this laminate covering element comprises a facing sheet 1 which, in the embodiment shown, is formed from a woven jute fabric with a mesh surface area of about S to 10 mm. Instead of having meshes of such a surface, the fabric may have a tighter weave, that is to say that it may have meshes of smaller surface. Likewise, this decorative facing sheet can also consist of a sheet of natural or synthetic material, possibly nonwoven, for example felt.
