Description

Purpose of Composition Comprising Black Hulless Barley and Black Quinoa 7500689 in Preparation of Anti-oxidation Products
TECHNICAL FIELD The disclosure relates to the field of medicine, specifically relating to a purpose of a composition comprising black hulless barley and black quinoa in the preparation of anti-oxidation products.
BACKGROUND With the improvement of living standards, people pay increasing attention to skin problems caused by oxidation, such as skin aging, inflammation and even cancer. Direct contact of human skin with oxygen causes skin aging and damage which are important features of senility. Senility is caused by the accumulation of reactive oxygen radicals or failure of scavenging reactive oxygen radicals, and excess radicals in vivo cause cell damage and pigmentation. Compared with the radicals produced by the body during metabolism, oxygen radicals are the most harmful to the body. Oxygen radicals include superoxide anion radicals, hydroxyl radicals, hydrogen peroxide and singlet oxygen which are normal metabolites of the body. Although they are continuously produced in metabolism, they are not harmful under normal circumstances as there is a defense system in the body. Superoxide anion radicals can be eliminated by superoxide dismutase (SOD). SOD is an important oxygen radical scavenger in vivo and can balance oxygen radicals in vivo, avoiding adverse reactions caused by a high concentration of superoxide anion radicals in vivo. Although the human body has its own antioxidant enzymes and non-enzymatic systems against oxidative damage, the protective systems cannot remove all reactive oxygen species (ROS) if the human body is damaged by excessive ROSs. Therefore, it is necessary to use antioxidants. However, long-term use of antioxidants can have toxic effects. Therefore, people are increasingly seeking more natural and safer antioxidants and anti-aging drugs. Hordeum vulgare ssp. vulgare, also known as hulless barley, is a crop grown in a low-temperature and low-oxygen environment on the plateau. It belongs to Hordeum Linn. in the family Gramineae. It has been used as the main food crop for thousands of years in many countries and regions in the world. Hulless barley includes white hulless 7500689 barley, black hulless barley and dark green hulless barley, and black hulless barley is a unique variety in Tibet. Comai County in the Shannan Prefecture at the north foot of the Himalayas is rich in black hulless barley because of its special climate and soil. Black hulless barley is rich in high fat, crude fiber and anthocyanin and has a good healthcare function, so it is favored by food processors and markets.
Chenopodium quinoa willd, also known as South American Quinoa, quinoa, golden millet, etc., is originated in Andes Mountains of America and is the main traditional food of the Inca. Chenopodium quinoa willd with unique, rich and comprehensive nutritional value has nurtured the Inca. It is known as the mother of food, and can also replace infant milk powder. It is rich in protein, dietary fiber and minerals, with balanced amino acid composition, and it is also rich in phenolic acids, polyphenols, flavonoids and other phenolic compounds. Phenolic compounds ingested in the human body have physiological effects such as antioxidation, anti-inflammation, antiviral effects, and anticancer. Black quinoa belongs to the family Bataceae and is neutral in nature and sweet in taste. Black quinoa is rich in protein, carbohydrates, fat, amino acids (including all nine essential amino acids for the human body) with proper proportion and is easy to be absorbed. It is also rich in unsaturated fatty acids, anthocyanins, flavonoids, B-glucan, choline, betaine, a-linolenic acid, various mineral elements, vitamin B, folic acid, vitamin E and other compounds. The content of dietary fiber is as high as 7.1%, and black quinoa does not contain cholesterol. Black quinoa has the effects of repairing physique, improving adaptability, regulating endocrine, preventing diseases, maintaining beauty and keeping young, losing weight, relaxing bowels, delaying aging, preventing cancer, lowering blood pressure, blood lipid and blood glucose, preventing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and assisting in treating chronic diseases.
