Abstract

디지탈 비디오 신호 처리 시스템은 비디오 영상 정보를 압축된 형태로 나타내는 데이터의 엔코딩된 패킷을 수신한다. 비디오 패킷을 디코딩하고 역압축하여 비디오 영상 표시 디지탈 워드군을 형성하기 위해 비디오 디코더(1509)및 관련 비디오 RAM(1513)이 사용된다. 비디오 디코더(1509)는 또한 비디오 RAM(1513)의 특정 부분에 저장된 그래픽 비트맵을 그래픽 영상 표시 디지탈 워드군으로 변환하는 온스크린 디스플레이(OSD)유닛(1509-9)을 포함한다. 영상 표시 디지탈 워드와 그래픽 표시 디지탈 워드는 OSD 디스플레이 유닛(1509-9)의 제어하에서 다중화된다.

Claims (7)

  1. 비디오 영상을 압축된 형태로 나타내는 디지탈 패킷의 소스 및 그래픽 영상을 나타내는 디지탈 데이터의 소스와; 상기 비디오 영상 표시 디지탈 패킷과 상기 그래픽 영상 표시 디지탈 워드를 둘다 저장하는 단일 메모리(1513)와; 상기 메모리(1513)에 결합되어 상기 비디오 영상 표시 디지탈 패킷에 응답하여 상기 비디오 영상의 각각의 성분을 나타내는 디지탈 워드의 시퀸스를 생성하는 비디오 디스플레이 유닛(1509-5) 및; 상기 메모리(1513)에 결합되어 상기 비디오 영상 표시 데이터에 응답하여 상기 그래픽 영상의 각각의 성분을 나타내는 디지탈 워드의 시퀸스를 생성하는 그래픽 디스플레이 유닛(1509-9)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 메모리(1513)는 또한 상기 비디오 영상의 적어도 한 프레임을 저장하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 디지탈 테이터는 그래픽 제어 정보를 포함하는 헤더부 및 화소 단위의 색정보를 포함하는 비트맵부를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 영상 표시 디지탈 패킷과 상기 그래픽 표시 디지탈 데이터를, 상기 각각의 소스(1509-1,1509-7)로부터 상기 메모리(1513)로 루팅(routing)하고, 상기 메모리(1513)로부터 상기 각각의 디스플레이 유닛(1509-5,1509-9)으로 루팅하는 단일 메모리 제어기(1509-3)를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 비디오 영상 표시 디지탈 워드와 상기 그래픽 영상 표시 디지탈 워드를 선택적으로 결합하는 다중화기(1509-13)를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 비디오 디스플레이 유닛(1509-5), 상기 그래픽 디스플레이 유닛(1509-9), 상기 메모리 제어기(1509-3) 및, 상기 다중화기(1509-13)는 단일 집적 회로에 포함되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치
  7. 비디오 영상을 압축된 형태로 나타내는 디지탈 패킷의 소스 및 그래픽 영상을 나타내는 디지탈 데이터의 소스와; 상기 비디오 영상 표시 디지탈 패킷과 상기 그래픽 영상 표시 디지탈 워드를 둘다 저장하되, 상기 디지탈 데이터는 그래픽 제어 정보를 포함하는 헤더부와 화소 단위의 색정보를 포함하는 비트맵부를 구비하도록 되어 있는 단일 메모리(1513)와; 상기 메모리(1513)에 결합되어 상기 비디오 영상 표시 디지탈 패킷에 응답하여 상기 비디오 영상의 각각의 성분을 나타내는 디지탈 워드의 시퀸스를 생성하는 비디오 디스플레이 유닛(1509-5)과; 상기 메모리(1513)에 결합되어 상기 비디오 영상 표시 데이터에 응답하여 상기 그래픽 영상의 각각의 성분을 나타내는 디지탈 워드의 시퀸스를 생성하는 그래픽 디스플레이 유닛(1509-5)과; 상기 영상 표시 디지탈 패킷과 상기 그래픽 표시 디지탈 데이타를 상기 각각의 소스로부터 상기 메모리(1513)로 루팅(routing)하고 상기 메모리(1513)로부터 상기 각각의 디스플레이 유닛으로 루팅하는 단일 메모리 제어기(1509-3) 및; 상기 비디오영상 표시 디지탈 워드와 상기 그래픽 영상 표시 디지탈 워드를 선택적으로 결합하는 다중화기(1509-13)를 포함하되, 상기 비디오 디스플레이 유닛(1509-5), 상기 그래픽 디스플레이 유닛(1509-9), 상기 메모리 제어기(1509-3) 및, 상기 다중화기(1509-13)는 단일 집적 회로에 포함되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
