Abstract

본 발명은 가변길이 부호화된 데이터를 복호화하는 가면길이 복호화 장치에 관한 것으로, 데이터 비트 스트림을 저장하는 입력 버퍼 메모리, 상기 버퍼 메모리로부터 고정길이의 데이터 세그먼트를 수신하여 상기 기 설정 비트의 회전 디코딩 윈도우를 순차적으로 시프트시키면서 회전 디코딩 윈도우내의 데이터 세그먼트를 출력하는 배럴 시프터, 상기 회전 디코딩 윈도우내의 데이터 세그먼트에 포함된 가변길이 상응하는 고정길이 코드워드와 상기 가변길이 코드워드의 길이를 출력하는 룩업테이블 메모리를 구비한 가변길이 복호화 장치에 있어서; 상기 가변길이 코드워드의 길이가 입력될때마다 이를 순차적으로 누산하되, 누산된 결과치가 회전 디코딩 윈도우의 기 설정된 시프트 수를 초과하면 상기 입력 버퍼 메모리의 리드 제어 신호를 생성하는 누산기(301), 상기 누산된 가변길이 코드워드의 길이에 상응하는 데이터를 반클럭 단위로 교변적으로 저장하고 상기 리드 제어신호를 상기 입력 버퍼 메모리에 제공하는 제1 및 제2 래치부(301, 302), 상기 누산된 가변길이 코드워드의 길이에 상응하는 데이터를 반클럭 단위로 다중화하여 상기 배럴 시프터와 상기 누산기(301)에 제공하는 다중화부(304)를 더 구비하여 구성함을 특징으로 한다.

Claims (3)

  1. 데이터 비트 스트림을 저장하는 입력 버퍼 메모리, 상기 입력 버퍼 메모리로부터 고정길이의 데이터 세그먼트를 수신하여 상기 기 설정 비트의 회전 디코딩 윈도우를 순차적으로 시프트시키면서 회전 디코딩 윈도우내의 데어티 세그먼트를 출력하는 배럴 시프터, 상기 회전 디코딩 윈도우내의 데이터 세그먼트에 포함된 가변 길이 코드 워드에 상응하는 고정 길이 코드 워드와 상기 가변 길이 코드 워드에 상응하는 고정길이 코드 워드와 상기 가변길이 코드 워드의 길이를 출력하는 룩업테이블 메모리를 구비한 가변길이 복호화 장치에 있어서, 상기 가변길이 코드 워드의 길이가 입력될 때마다 이를 순차적으로 누산하되, 누산된 결과치가 회전 디코딩 윈도우의 기설정된 시프트 수를 초과하면 상기 입력 버퍼 메모리의 리드 제어 신호를 생성하는 누산기(301), 상기 누산된 가변길이 코드워드의 길이에 상응하는 데이터를 반클럭 단위로 교번적으로 저장하고 상기 리드 제어신호를 상기 입력 버퍼 메모리에 제공하는 제1 및 제2 래치부(301, 302), 상기 누산된 가변길이 코드워드의 길이에 상응하는 데이터를 반클럭 단위로 다중화하여 상기 배럴 시프터와 상기 누산기9301)에 제공하는 다중화부(304)를 더 구비한 가변길이 복호화 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 누산기(108)의 누산된 결과치를 나타내는 비트들 중 최상위 비트가 상기 입력 버퍼 메모리의 제어신호로 작용하는 가변길이 복호화 장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 다중화부(304)에서 상기 누산기(301)에 제공되는 누산된 가변길이 코드워드의 길이에 상응하는 데이터의 최상위 비트는 항상 '0'인 가변길이 복호화 장치.
