Claims (22)

  1. 35℃에서 고체가 아니며, 약 10 내지 85몰％의 포화 지방산과 90 내지 15몰％의 불포화 지방산을 포함하는 지방산 혼합물의 반응 생성물인 2-옥세타논 화합물을 포함하는 사이징 조성물.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, (a) 주로 불포화 지방산을 포함하는 공급원과 (b) 주로 포화 지방산을 포함하는 공급원을 포함하는 반응 혼합물의 반응 생성물인 2-옥세타논 화합물의 혼합물을 포함하는 사이징 조성물.
  3. 불포화 및 포화 지방산을 제공하고 이들을 반응시켜 2-옥세타논 사이징제를 생성시키는 단계를 포함하는, 제1항의 2-옥세타논 사이징제의 제조방법.
  4. (a) 주로 불포화 지방산을 포함하는 하나 이상의 공급원과 (b) 주로 포화 지방산을 포함하는 하나 이상의 공급원을 제공하고, 이들을 반응시켜 35℃에서 고체가 아닌 2-옥세타논 사이징 조성물을 생성시키는 단계를 포함하는, 제2항의 2-옥세타논 사이징제의 제조방법.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 지방산이 약 20 내지 60몰％의 포화 지방산과 약 80 내지 40몰％의 불포화 지방산을 포함하는 조성물 또는 방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 지방산이 약 30 내지 55몰％의 포화 지방산과 약 70 내지 45몰％의 불포화 지방산을 포함하는 조성물 또는 방법.
  7. 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 조성물이 25℃에서 액체인 조성물 또는 방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 조성물이 20℃에서 액체인 조성물 또는 방법.
  9. 제1항 내지 제8항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 지방산이 6 내지 26개의 탄소원자를 갖는 모노카복실산 또는 모노카복실산 할라이드인 조성물 또는 방법.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 지방산이 16 내지 18개의 탄소원자를 갖는 모노카복실산 또는 모노카복실산 할라이드인 조성물 또는 방법.
  11. 제1항 내지 제8항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 포화 지방산이 스테아르산, 이소스테아르산, 미리스트산, 팔미트산, 마르가르산, 펜타데카노산, 데카노(카프르)산, 운데카노산, 도데카노(라우르)산, 트리데카노산, 노나데카노산, 아라키드산 및 베헨산 및 산 클로라이드, 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군에서 선택되고, 상기 불포화 지방산이 올레산, 리놀레산, 도데세노산, 테트라데세노(미리스톨레)산, 헥사데세노(팔미톨레)산, 옥타데카디에노(리놀레라이드)산, 옥타데카트리에노(리놀렌)산, 에이코세노(가돌레)산, 에이코사테트라에노(아라키돈)산, 도코세노(에루크)산, 도코세노(브라시드)산 및 도코사펜타에노(클루파노돈)산 및 산 클로라이드, 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 조성물 또는 방법.
  12. 제1항 내지 제11항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 포화 지방산 공급원이 80몰％ 이상의 포화 지방산을 포함하고, 상기 불포화 지방산 공급원이 70몰％ 이상의 불포화 지방산을 포함하는 조성물 또는 방법.
  13. 제12항에 있어서, 상기 포화 지방산 공급원이 약 95몰％ 이상의 포화 지방산을 포함하고, 상기 불포화 지방산 공급원이 약 90몰％ 이상의 불포화 지방산을 포함하는 조성물 또는 방법.
  14. 제1항 내지 제13항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 불포화 지방산 공급원 대 상기 포화 지방산 공급원의 몰비가 약 1:1 내지 4:1인 조성물 또는 방법.
  15. 제1항 내지 제14항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 반응 혼합물이 (c) 6 내지 44개의 탄소원자를 갖는 알킬 디카복실산을 추가로 포함하는 조성물 또는 방법.
  16. 제15항에 있어서, 상기 디카목실산이 8 내지 36개의 탄소원자를 갖는 조성물 또는 방법.
  17. 제15항에 있어서, 상기 디카복실산이 9 내지 10개의 탄소원자를 갖는 조성물 또는 방법.
  18. 제1항 내지 제14항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 2-옥세타논 화합물이 2-옥세타논 이량체인 조성물 또는 방법.
  19. 물, 및 제1항 내지 제18항 중 어느 한 항의 사이징 조성물 1 내지 60중량％를 포함하는 수성 에멀젼.
  20. 알칼리 조건하에서 제조되고 제1항 내지 제19항 중 어느 한 항의 사이징 조성물 또는 수성 에멀젼으로 사이징된 종이.
  21. 제20항에 있어서, 알칼리 금속의 수용성 무기염을 또한 포함하는 종이.
  22. 제20항 또는 제21항의 종이를 고속 전환 또는 복사 공정에 사용하는 방법.
